Today we spent time in class working on our atomic theory projects. We will have at least one more class to work on these, and I will announce the due date after this class!
Today we worked on using the periodic table to count protons, electron, and neutrons. We also worked on atoms vs ions!
DO the following: - 7.3 questions assigned in class #10, 13-18 - finish the subatomic particles chart Next class we will have a small quiz where you will count protons and electrons!! Today we finished the 6.3 notes. You completed and handed in 6.3 questions #3,4,5,7,10. If you forgot to hand them in (there were A LOT OF YOU) please bring them next class!!
Afterwards we began using the modern periodit table to look up information about protons, electrons, atoms, and ions. We will continue with this next class! Today was our quiz! See me if you missed it.
After the quiz we completed a periodic table puzzle. If you did not finish the 5 analysis questions please do and hand them in next class. Today we reviewed finding elements on the periodic table, and talked about how some of the got their names and symbols.
We then strated section 6.3, but did not have a chance to finish the notes. Next class there will be a QUIZ on section 6.1-6.2 from your class notes/handouts! Be sure to study and do not forget your periodic tables as you will need them for the quiz!!! Today we completed section 6.2 from science probe 9! We also got to know the periodic table...
Homework is to complete the assigned questions: - p. 192 #1-4, 6-8, 11-13, 15, 16. |
